In Raleigh, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across North Carolina on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 12–9 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday. Raleigh is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Raleigh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

5 ⭐️ Five-star fresh, four-star takeaway An incredible pizza shop, with one caveat: eat it at the restaurant or right after pickup. Honest history: my first three or four Oakwood Pizza Box experiences were at someone’s house, about fifteen minutes from the store, and I thought it was very mediocre. Then I picked it up myself, couldn’t wait, and ate a slice on the spot. Complete game changer. The square pie 🍕 is amazing fresh, such a great texture with a crispy bottom and edges and a fluffy middle loaded with sauce and cheese, and I love adding jalapeños and pineapple. We even drizzled some hot honey 🍯 when we got home. The Margherita was the same story, genuinely excellent straight from the box while still hot. I wish they’d put the basil 🌿 on for you, though I get why it comes in a bag. Two things to temper expectations on: it’s shockingly expensive for pizza, and it doesn’t hold temperature as well as some others on takeaway. Even so, absolutely recommend, and I’m excited to go back.

Oakwood Pizza Box is proof that you don't need a complicated menu to make great food. They keep things simple by offering three base options: cheese, square, and white pizza. From there, you can build your pizza exactly the way you want it. The ingredients were fresh, the crust was delicious, and the entire experience was straightforward and enjoyable. One of the best things about this place is that there aren't a million options to sort through. You pick your base, add your toppings, and enjoy. Also, don't overlook the Caesar salad. The crisp wedges of lettuce, generous amount of shredded cheese, crunchy croutons, and flavorful dressing make it the perfect companion to your pizza. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with great pizza and an uncomplicated approach to good food, Oakwood Pizza Box is definitely worth a visit.

While visiting Raleigh, we decided to order from Oakwood Pizza Box, and it did not disappoint. The pizza was outstanding—perfectly blistered crust, fresh mozzarella, bright tomato sauce, and basil that tasted incredibly fresh. Every bite had that authentic, wood-fired flavor that pizza lovers look for. The quality of the ingredients really shines through, and the balance of sauce, cheese, and crust was spot on. Even as visitors, we can see why this place has such a great reputation. If you’re in Raleigh and craving exceptional pizza, Oakwood Pizza Box is absolutely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town!

My wife and I have been to Oakwood Pizza Box in Raleigh multiple times, and this most recent visit reminded us why we keep coming back. We’ve always gone on Saturdays around lunchtime when the restaurant is packed and there’s usually a wait, so we were surprised to find it quieter when we stopped in on a Tuesday evening around 5–5:30 PM. We walked right in and sat down, and while the dining room stayed steady with customers and the to‑go orders stayed busy, the overall atmosphere was calm—honestly the perfect time to visit. My wife is gluten‑free and always orders their gluten‑free pizza, and she loves it. As someone who can eat traditional pizza, I have to say their gluten‑free crust is the best I’ve had in Raleigh. It’s made in‑house, not one of those flat, pre‑formed frozen crusts. It’s fluffy, crusty, and genuinely delicious. While it is gluten‑free, they do not have a dedicated gluten‑free kitchen, and last I knew they used Caputo’s gluten‑free flour blend, which contains wheat starch—so it may not be suitable for those with wheat allergies. Definitely verify with the restaurant to make sure it fits your dietary needs. I’ve also had their traditional pizza and the Caesar sala

If you’ve ever struggled to find a gluten-free pizza that’s actually good, your search ends here. I’ve tried gluten-free crusts all over restaurants, frozen, delivery, you name it and nothing comes close to the gluten-free pizza crust at Oakwood Pizza Box. Their gluten-free base is light, fluffy, and full of real flavor, not that dry, cardboard-like crust so many places serve. It genuinely rivals and, for me, surpasses most traditional pizzas I’ve had, gluten-free or not.
